BOARD GAMES / PLAYING CARDS
You will find a selection of card and board games in your room. We also have some other board games that you are welcome to use- just let us know and we will tell you what we have.
BOOKS
During you time with us, please feel free to read any books or magazines that are around at our house. If you’d like more options, please visit our Community Center whenever it is open, where there is a large selection of books available. Please feel free to take the books with you when you leave if you’d like, and leave any that you are done with. You can see the Community Center on our VBP map. The VBP activity calendar shows when the Community Center is open- whenever there is an activity listed, you can go in and look for books.
BREAKAGES
We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately so we can fix/replace it. Thank you!
TELEVISION
There are two remotes for the TV; a larger LG black one and a smaller silver Apple one. The black remote will turn on and off the television and control the volume. The silver remote is for the Apple TV system and when activated (by clicking in the middle ‘select’ button), will do everything else that you need. If you are familiar with the old iPod, this functions similarly. The circle functions to move around; up, down, and sideways. The lower left button takes you back. The lower right button is play and pause. We will be happy to do a quick tutorial when you check in or as it comes up. We have both Netflix and Hulu.
